We announce the death of Dick E. Knuth of Grand Island, Nebraska, who passed away on August 5, 2026, at the age of 87. Dick will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Knuth and Irene Knuth (Boltz); his siblings, Bill, Bob, Karen Knuth and Delores Brooks; and his siblings-in-law, Diane Knuth, Wes Brooks and Frank McNelis.
He is survived by: his wife Loma Helzer; his children, Michael Knuth (Sheryl) of Grand Island and Michele Malasek (Craig) of Central City; his grandchildren, Michaela Schuster (Luke) of Minden, Taylor Lemburg (Eon) of Grand Island, Braden Knuth (Hannah) of Grand Island, Riley Malasek (Lindsey) of Central City and Ryan Malasek (Jaedyn) of Central City; his sister Barb McNelis of Grand Island; his sister-in-law Rita Smith of Minden; and his great grandchildren, Asher, Banks Lemburg, Cooper Knuth, Raelynn, Huxley Malasek and Tate Schuster. He is also survived by family members and friends.
