He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Ward (Vaughn) and Harold L. Ward; his brother-in-law Clark Reese; his parents-in-law, Patricia and Harold Knox; and his brother-in-law Stanley Knox.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Ward (Knox); his sons, Conor Ward (Allison) of Lincoln and Derek Ward (Jennifer) of Chicago; his grandchildren, Evalyn Marie and Whitley Lyle; his sister Karen Reese; his sister-in-law Terry Rathman (Robert); and his nephews, Ryan Reese (Megan), Jason Rathman, Kurtis Rathman (Jenny) and Coby Rathman (Jaime).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the All Faiths Funeral Home (2929 S Locust St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (511 N Elm St, Grand Island, NE 68801-4599).
