He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Winfrey and Mildred Winfrey (Wight); his wife Violet Luthultz; his children, Leigh Anne Nelson, Linda Holmes and Michael Winfrey; and the parents of child, Jesse and Mildred.
He is survived by: his daughter Patricia Davlin (Tom) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Jenny Minyon (Shawn), Melanie Winfrey, Michelle Winfrey, Philip Winfrey (Katie), Nicholas Winfrey (Sarah), David Crouch, Leanna Holmes, Alexandra Arnett (Niki) and Tracy Nelson (Megan); and his sister Mary West of Altuna, IA.. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, 7 great, great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Sunken Gardens in Lincoln, or to the family.
