He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore "Ted" Sander and Audrey Sander (Balzer); and his nephews, Ryan Gramberg, Mark Henderson, Sean Henderson, Cullen Snodgrass, David Snodgrass and Andrew Snodgrass.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Anderson; his children, Karl Sander of Grand Island, Julie (Chad Ropte) and Lori (Jim Bertrand); his grandchildren, Courtney, Katie and Kasey Ropte; his daughter Jessica Hansen (Jake); his grandson Carter; his sons, David Bertrand and Garret Bertrand; his siblings, Norm Snodgrass (Laurie) of Tucson, AZ, Karleen Gramberg (Merlyn) of Chadron, NE, Joan Klanderud of North Mankato, MN and Barb Hough (Phil) of Omaha, NE; and his sister-in-law Cathy Meyer (Jeff) of Westside, IA.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
