He was predeceased by: his father Roger Luther; his stepfather Robert Farquhar; his parents-in-law, Levi and Pauline Knigge; his brothers, Jeff Farquhar, Richard Farquhar and Michael Rakestraw; and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen, Roy Morgan, Howard Bulin, Lynn Hudson, Wanda, Charles McMillan, Leland Knigge, Don Knigge, Wayne Knigge, Pauline, Bill Disney and Jim Durflinger.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Luther; his children, Kenneth A. Luther (Heather) and Rebecca Allan (Kyle); his grandchildren, Victoria Stark (Steve), Kenneth I Luther, Wyatt Allan (Jazmin) and Jersey Allan; his great grandchild Everly Allan; his mother Betty Farquhar (Lizer); his stepmother Jan Luther; his siblings, John Luther (Dar), Mitch Farquhar (Lori), Rob Farquhar (Margaret), Greg Farquhar (Shannon), Rog Luther (Gina) and Beth Hogan (Joe); and his siblings-in-law, Betty Bulin, Darlene Hudson, Pat Knigge, Lois Knigge, Margie Durflinger and Cherie Domeier (Rod).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Apfel Funeral Home (1123 W 2nd St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (2103 W Anna St, Grand Island, NE 68803).
Memorials are suggested to the First United Presbyterian Church of Wood River or Alcoholics Anonymous.
