He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry N. Aldana and Guadalupe C. Aldana (Soto); his son Richard Aldana; his stepgranddaughter Gracie Mueller; and his brothers, John and Henry Jr. Aldana.

He is survived by: his wife Shannon Douglas; his sons, Quentin Aldana (Lynne) of Wahoo and Shayne Aldana (Stephanie) of Hastings; his stepchildren, Joshua Mueller of Lawrence, KS, Jeremy Mueller (Kate) of Grand Island, Kimberly Mueller of St. Petersburg, FL and Matthew Mueller (Allison) of Grand Island; his grandchildren, Agustus, Maximilian, Austin, Lukas, Nathan and Eli Aldana; his stepgrandchildren, Joe, Molly, Sam, Izzy, Dylan, Lucy, Morgan and Declan Mueller; his great grandchildren, Jackson and Makai Aldana; his siblings, Felix Aldana (Pam) of Hastings, Peggy Flores (Luis) of Grand Island and Virgie Wheeler (Steve) of Grand Island; and his siblings-in-law, Bernie Douglas (Deb) of Omaha, Tom Douglas (Mary) of Springfield, MO, Dan Douglas (Jane) of Omaha and Antonette Blake (Tony) of Kearney. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the All Faiths Funeral Home (2929 S Locust St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A rosary was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Cathedral (112 S Cedar St, Grand Island, NE 68801).

Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
