He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Ellis and Rose Ellis (Stoddard); his siblings, Fred Schritt, Martin "Buzz" Schritt, Leo John "Sonny", Kaylynn Loveland and Betty Stoltenburg; his sister-in-law June Schritt; and his granddaughter Amanda Summers.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Ellis of Grand Island; his children, Cynthia Ellis of Grand Island, Carie Ellis of Grand Island, Ryan Ellis of Grand Island and Alicia Ellis of Grand Island; his grandchildren, Alex, Erik, Tavi, Aidan, Andrew, Justine, Kori, Kaitlin, Shelby and Kay; his great grandchildren, Blake, Katalina, Nik, Kamden, Wyatt, Gemini, Nevaeh, Khloe, Quinn, Elle, Jupiter, Kaiden, Lilanna, Ezekial and Sampson; his siblings, Don "Punk" Ellis and Joyce; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Schritt and Ellen Schritt. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
