She was predeceased by: her parents, Christian Peterson and Zelma Patience Mae Peterson (Nelson); her husband Joseph Avery; her son Joseph Charles Allen Avery; and her siblings, Paul (Marie), Floyd (Elinor), Charles, Robert, Pearl (Faye), Cedric, Gaylord, Enos, Howard (Frankie) and Virginia Ring (Joe).
She is survived by: her daughters, Karna Welch (Leonard), Laura Nelson (Michael), Vera Henman (Ken) and Paula Ewoldt (Dean); and her sisters-in-law, Rachel Peterson and Sandra Peterson. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the family, Trinity United Methodist Church or the Humane Society.
