She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar A. Sorgenfrei and Mildred T. Sorgenfrei (Petzoldt); her brothers, Oscar Jr., Robert (Kay) and Larry (Margaret); and her brothers-in-law, Terry Kaczor and Lester Schmidt.
She is survived by: her husband Elroy E. Schmidt; her children, Larry Schmidt (Sandi) and Bobbi Byerly (Kevin); her grandchildren, Jacob Byerly (Emily), Garrett Byerly, Blake Byerly (Emily), Kate Byerly, Weston Goldsmith (Becca) and Cooper Schmidt; and her siblings, Deryl (JoAnn Sorgenfrei), Harriet Sorgenfrei, Norma (Max Diggs), Richard (Marlene Schmidt), Doris Kaczor and Darrell (JeanAnne Schmidt).
Memorials are suggested to either the Church for foreign Missions or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
