He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Rivera and Angeline Rivera (Hernandez); his son Gabriel Rivera; and his grandchildren, Shania Rivera and Jacob Rivera.
He is survived by: his brother Joe; his sister-in-law Dorthy Dominguez; his grandson Joe; his wife Dorthy; his children, Joe Rivera (Candace) of Rapid City, SD, James Rivera (Misty) of Grand Island, Christina Rivera (Becky Jarzynka) of Grand Island and Yolanda Rivera of Grand Island; and his sisters, Megdaline Cash (Lloyd), Lucille Pachēco Luna (Lupe), Helen Bickford and Elizabeth Vega (Henry).
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
