She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Gurgel and Marie Gurgel (Walker); and her husband Donald H. Smith. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Molly D'Costa (Mikeil), Rick and Rand Smith; and her siblings, Don Gurgel and Mary Lou Kempfert. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
