She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Holechek and Joy Holechek (Christensen); her former husband Roger Gordon Hellwege; her son Jim Hellwege; her brother Jim Holechek; and her son-in-law Bruce Strawder.

She is survived by: her daughter Karen Strawder of Wichita, KS; her granddaughter Stacie Bitsky (Tom) of Aurora, IL; her great grandchildren, Jadyn, Sophie, Brooklyn and Crystal Albright (Terrel); her sister Betti Seay of Greely, CO; her daughter-in-law Dolores Hellwege; her sister-in-law Judy Holechek of Lincoln; Blaike, Makenna and Payton.

Memorials are suggested to Faith Lutheran Church of Hastings or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
