He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Charles Dean and Margaret McGrath (Bambrick). He is survived by: his children, Aaron Michael and Andrea Molly; and his siblings, Charles Dean McGrath Jr., Melissa Ann "Lisa" McGrath Kinnally and Martha Jean "Marcy" McGrath Kovar. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the family to designate to a charity at a future date.
