He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Boardman and Opal Boardman (Stern); his son Robert "Bob" Boardman; his sister Gerri Sharman; his brother-in-law Jim Bourn; and his parents-in-law, Clyde and Nawdean Barth (Day).
He is survived by: his wife Gay Barth of Grand Island; his son Rick; his daughter-in-law Mary Boardman of Henderson; his daughter Yvonne; his son-in-law Dustin Van Wechel of Colorado Springs, CO; his grandchildren, Andrea Boardman-Fisher (Jesse) of Cedar Grove, NC, Samantha Pederson (Kole) of Lincoln, NE, Megan Clear (Christian) of Fort Sill, OK and Brandon Boardman of Henderson, NE; his great grandchildren, Jet Pederson and Maddox Clear; his sister Janene Bourn of Broomfield, CO; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Sharman of Fullerton, NE., Becky Lind of Manhattan, KS, Russell (Lorraine Barth) of Doniphan, NE and Lewis (Marliss Barth) of Dannebrog, NE. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Palmer-Santin Funeral Home (210 Irving St, Fullerton, NE 68638). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Nance County Veteran's Museum and Fullerton Cemetery.
