He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrow Sems and Maxine Sems (Liedtke); his brother Raymond Sems; his grandson Jacob Alexander Kneale; his parents-in-law, Ray and Rhoda Christensen; and his siblings-in-law, Lana, Burel Doll, Carol Sems, Bob Blair and Rick Hiser.
He is survived by: his daughter Michelle; his son-in-law Michael Kneale of Grand Island; his son Martin Sems of Lincoln; his daughter-in-law Amy Cassner of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Zachary Kneale, Abbey Kneale and Jada Sems; his brother Roland "Bud" Sems of Glendale, AZ.; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Hiser of Lake Elsinore, CA, Jan Blair (Dave) of Napa, CA, Dan Christensen (Rosanne) of Wolbach, Cindy Luth (Pete) of Lincoln, Sherri Karley (Brent) of Austin, TX and Alice Sems of Tuscola, TX. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
