She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin "Wick" Dethlefs and Mae Dethlefs (Krakowski); and her sisters, Karen Wilson (Dethlefs) and Georgene Steele (Dethlefs). She is survived by: her husband Jerome "Jerry" Moritz of Mary's Catholic Church; her sons, Shane Moritz, Daniel Moritz (Tracey) and Joseph Moritz; her niece Nicole Steele of Grand Island; her siblings, Gerald "Buzz" Dethlefs (Marie Mayberry), Denise Wardyn of Omaha and Cindy Ash (Bruce) of Arcadia; her grandchildren, Tara Paulman (Mitchell), Kyle Mortiz, Tyler Moritz and Aubree Moritz; and her great grandchildren, Kash Moritz, Jaylee Paulman and Draye Paulman.
A rosary was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 7:00 AM and at 7:00 PM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (518 W State St, Grand Island, NE 68801). Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
