It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rene Castaneda of Grand Island, Nebraska, who passed away on January 11, 2023, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Ernesto Castaneda and Susana Castaneda (Grijalva); his siblings, Maricruz Peinado (J. Manuel), Gabriela Castaneda (Juan Carlos Medina), Alejandra Castaneda (Glafiro Guerrero), Ernesto Castaneda and Gorge Castaneda; his nieces and nephews, Jesse Peinado (Melissa Aguirre), Manuel Peinado Jr., Anette Peinado, Janette Peinado, Ivan Medina, Marcos Medina, Sandra Ortiz, Mark Hernandez, Domingo Ortiz, Antonio Rodriguez and Horacio Rizo; and his grandmother Ernestina Altamirano.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
