He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hoffman and Margaret Hoffman (Diederick); his children-in-law, Connie and John Shurtleff; his great grandchild MaKenna Walters; and his granddaughter Rynleigh.

He is survived by: his wife Mildred Voughn of Ann's Catholic Church; and his children, Rick Hoffman (Toni) of North Platte, John Hoffman of Grand Island and Catherine Shurtleff of Grand Island. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and spouses; 13 great-grandchildren and two step great-great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or to the Knights of Columbus.
