He is survived by: his sister Bonnie Arend; his stepchildren, Amanda Lee and Brian Vincent (Rachel); his wife Shari; his grandchildren, Colton, Madison, Bridger, Shania, Mariah, Keegan, Gawain and Airyanna; his brother-in-law Robert Schnuelle; his niece Rebekah Polski; his nephew Bradley Arend (Norma); his great-niece Ashley Arend; his niece Kristi (Stuart Christian); his great-niece Marissa Kappes (Adam); his great-nephews, Devon Weber, Carter and Tanner Christian; his brother Donald (Susan); his nephews, Troy, Todd and Dylan Sharkey; his niece Emily Palo (Jacob); his great-niece Ruby Palo; his sister Dawn Ward (David); his niece Raishelle Meagher (Justin); his great-nephews, Alexander Ojeda, Atlas Meagher and Titus Meagher; his nephew Ronnie Ward; his great-niece Zoey Ward; his niece Brittany Ward (Donny); his brother-in-law Ken Graff; his niece Kim Graff (Doug Turner); his great-niece Sofia; his niece Lisa McMasters (Evan); his great-nephews, Vincent, Michael and Andrew; his pets, Buddy and Olaf; Tyler Arend. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.

He loved great-grandchildren Kingston, Carter, and Hayze from a distance due to immunocompromise, the pandemic, and his cancer diagnosis.
