We announce the death of Ruth N Sallinger of Grand Island, Nebraska, who passed away on October 6, 2026, at the age of 90. Ruth will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Albert and Helen Pearl Schultz (Elwick); her husband Bill Sallinger; and her siblings, Phyllis Vogler and Billy Schultz.
She is survived by: her children, Bradley Sallinger (Rita) of Doniphan and Marla Skalka (Randy) of Lincoln; her grandchildren, Drew Skalka (Kassandra) of Lincoln, Dylan Skalka of Grand Island, Gabe Skalka (Amy) of Sutton, Danielle Shultz (Jeremy) of DeMotte, IN and Christie Ehlers (Chris) of Omaha; and her brother Arthur Schultz of Florida. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the All Faiths Funeral Home (2929 S Locust St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
