He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel R. Barton and Marie Barton Jr. (Gilbert); his wife Joan Elaine Runge of John's Episcopal Church; and his great grandchild Jayden McDonald. He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie White (John) of Grand Island and Susan Hooker (Scott) of Grand Island; his grandchildren, Andrea McDonald (Jason) of Aurora, Meghan Hooker of Lincoln, Daniel White of Grand Island, Nick Hooker (Bailey) of Doniphan and Tyler Hooker (Hannah) of Grand Island; and his sister Mary Lou Meldrom. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
