He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Pointer and Alice Pointer (Redding); and his brother Randy Pointer. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Cramer; his stepsons, Justin Lawver (Cristy), Josh Lawver (Abby), Jared Lawver (Brindy) and Jake Lawver (Amanda); his siblings, Larry Pointer (Shellie) and Pamela Hansen (Grant); and his mother-in-law Sharon Moore. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

The military honors will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery (3270 W Capital Ave, Grand Island, NE 68803).
