He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Lee and Max Grooms; his parents-in-law, Catherine and Arthur Crouch; his brother Max Lee Grooms; his nephew Max Lee Grooms Jr.; and his brother-in-law Jim Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Crouch Grooms of Grand Island; his daughters, Schelly Young, Cindy Hermann (Ray) and Ashley Lammers (Brian); his sister Ellen Grant; and his siblings-in-law, Brooke Grooms, Nora Powell and Fred Crouch (Maureen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other family members, friends, neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Tehama Temple Transportation Fund or First Presbyterian Church of Grand Island.
