She was predeceased by: her parents, Theron L. Johnson and Bernice J. Johnson (McKinney); and her siblings, Mardel Timmons, Mona Poteet and Gerald Johnson.

She is survived by: her husband Dale Boelts; her children, Vicki Harris of Lincoln, Diane Whelan (Brian) of Grand Island, Matthew Boelts (Dana) of Berkeley Springs, WV and Jessica Boelts (Danny Pierro) of Wilton, CT; her grandchildren, Katrina Wiles (Treston), Alexander Whelan and Cody Lewis; and her great grandchildren, Elidia, Alistair, Addison and Kennedy.
