He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sass and Caroline Sass (Dibbern); his sisters, Phyllis Hooper and Bonnie Hanssen (Harold); and his brother-in-law Leonard Dibbern.
He is survived by: his close friend Doris Jessen; his wife Doris of Grand Island; his sons, Doug Sass (Teri) of Grand Island and Dan Sass (Sue) of Bennington; his grandchildren, Morganne Manivong (Phou) of Grand Island, Allison Albers (Justin), TJ Sass of Omaha and Danielle Kreis (Kevin) of Seattle, WA; his great grandchildren, Kalen Manivong, Charlotte and Gideon Albers; his brothers, Bob Sass (Kathy) of Grand Island and Dennis "Virgil" Sass (Lynn) of San Diego, CA; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Dibbern.
