He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Bastian and Lucille Miles Bastian; his siblings, Jean and Tom; his nephew Christopher; and his father-in-law Glenn Ellis.

He is survived by : his wife Gloria Ellis; his grandson Steven of Columbus, NE; his daughter Sylvia of Alexandria, VA; his siblings, Bill Bastian (Linda) of Omaha, NE, Donna Ogg (Wayne) of Ogallala and Laveta Witt (Lloyd) of Hebron, NE; his mother-in-law Betty Ellis; and his brother-in-law Stanley Ellis (Troi) of Red Cloud, NE. He is also survived by many friends and family.

A memorial has been established in Larry's name for later designation.
