She was predeceased by : her parents, Homer Stout and Gertrude Stout (Thornton); her husband Bob; her son Terry Ochsner; her siblings, Lyndle Stout, Homer "Russell" Stout, Donald Stout, Bill Stout, Margaret Daiss, Doris Frerichs, Dorothy "Jean" Gloy and Barbara "Bobby" McLean; and her brother-in-law Jack McLean.

She is survived by : her daughter-in-law Teresa Ochsner (Terry) of Vancouver, WA; her children, Randy Ochsner (Cheryl) of Hastings, NE, Janie Colglazier (Clifford) of Grant, NE, Rick Ochsner (Jackie) of Grant, NE and Rob Ochsner of Ogallala, NE; her sisters, Betty Miller of Evansville, IN and Beth Witt of Eugene, OR; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Ochsner, Adam Ochsner, Andrew Ochsner, Calvin Ochsner, Shawn Maleskar, Codie Maleskar, Ebony MacDonald, Douglas Colglazier, Timothy Colglazier, Analisa Colglazier, Micheal Ochsner and Athena Messinger.

Memorials are suggested to the Grant Fire Department in Ruth's memory.
