Gerhardt was predeceased by: wife Phyllis; brother Herbert; and cousin Frank. Gerhardt is survived by: sister-in-law Harolyn Stender (Marvin). Gerhardt is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Roeder Mortuary (11710 Standing Stone Dr, Gretna, NE 68028). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
