He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Parks and Grace Parks; and his brothers, Charles and Robert. He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his son Derek Parks (Lindsay) of Omaha; his grandchildren, Jackson, Noah, Joshua and Grace Parks; his brother-in-law James Payne of Albuquerque, NM; and his nephews, Jimmie Redden of Springboro, PA and Philip Hellyer of Mesa, AZ..

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Gretna Fire & Rescue.
