She was predeceased by: her husband Edwin Charles Mowinkel; her parents, Bernard Biel and Mildred Biel; her parents-in-law, Harry and Louise Mowinkel; her siblings, Jodeen Rix (Willis), Judy Plambeck (Loren), Ray and Leonard Biel; and her brother-in-law Harold Mowinkel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shirley Wittmuss (John) and Sheryll Mowinkel; her grandchildren, Andrew Rongisch (Amy), Jason Wittmuss (Cheri), Brian Rongisch (Nina), Charles Wittmuss and Sheila Hajny (Jason); her great grandchildren, Lauren Rongisch, Dylan Wittmuss, Ava Rongisch, David Hajny, Anthony Rongisch, John Hajny, Tyler Hajny, Scarlett Hajny, Stephanie Christie (Riley) and Shelby Kinman (Christian Lauritsen); and her great great grandchildren, Kiley Christie, Keslee Lauritsen and Cooper Christie.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Roeder Mortuary (11710 Standing Stone Dr, Gretna, NE 68028). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Resurrection Lutheran Church (153 S McKenna Ave, Gretna, NE 68028).
