He was predeceased by : his parents, Gilbert E. Nixon and J. LaVerne Nixon (Cumberland); his sister-in-law Judy Bell; and his nephew Charles Bell. He is survived by : his wife Courtney Nixon (Gretna); his daughters, Kiely Hermeling (Kevin), Jamie Hahn (Matt) and Kitty Wize (Mike); his grandchildren, Jacob, Molly, Claire, Nathan, Lizzy, Emma, Julia, Lena and Chase; his brother Gerry Nixon (Becky); and his siblings-in-law, Janet Nixon-Tolley, James S. Bell and Richard P. Bell (Mona).
