He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Peterson Barkley and Wilson Neely Barkley; and his siblings, William Neely Barkley, Helen Bethene Barkley and Mary Ellen Boyden.
He is survived by: his children, Neal Barkley (Nancy), Gregg Barkley, Gail Nika (Fred) and Lori Kanne (Steve); his stepdaughter Jill Perry (Grant); and his brother Charles Barkley. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
