It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Douglas Bergsten in Gretna, Nebraska, who passed away on April 28, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bergsten and Virginia Bergsten (Dietze); and his son Randall. He is survived by: his wife Mardelle of Gretna, NE; his sons, Ryan Bergsten (Kari) of Gretna, NE and Russell Bergsten (Melanie) of Kearney, NE; his grandchildren, Reagan, Rhett of Gretna, NE, Braedyn and Brooklyn of Kearney, NE; his brother Rex Bergsten (Lori); his aunts, Darlene Dietze and Delores Bishop; and his sister-in-law Alane Johns (Ronald). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
