It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne G. Bauer (Gretna, Nebraska), who passed away on July 19, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Wayne may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Wayne touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Roeder Mortuary - Gretna Chapel (11710 Standing Stone Dr, Gretna, NE 68028). A burial will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Omaha National Cemetery (14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a Veterans' organization or the American Cancer Society in Wayne's honor.
