It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Dick Thayer of Hampton, Nebraska, who passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Andrew and Helen Thayer (Hansen); his wife Karen Nadine Bartley of Red Cloud; and his siblings, Janice Bohling and Marvin Thayer.

He is survived by: his children, Kevin James Thayer (Athello Hanson) of Aurora, Stephanie Jean Holloway (Stacey) of Phillips and Steven Wayne Thayer (Marie) of Kearney; and his brothers, Mervin Thayer of Deshler and Ben Thayer of Dannebrog. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and other family members and friends.

Memorials may be made in care of family to be designated at a later date.
