She was predeceased by : her parents, Ben Lunders and Theresa Lunders (Zens); her siblings, Mary Lunders and Rollin Lunders; and her mother-in-law Ferdy (Em Peitz).

She is survived by : her children, Michael Yates (Tammy) of Pittsburgh, PA, Michele Klausen (Pat) of Lincoln, NE and Patrick Yates (Kim) of Marshalltown, IA; her husband Bill Yates of Hartington, NE; her grandchildren, Jessica McNaughton (Justin), Meagan Sasek (Trevor), Madilyn, Morgan Bellile, Ethan, Molly Klausen and Ellie Yates; her great grandchild Joelle McNaughton; her siblings, Lois Laber (Joe) of Bonesteel, SD, Ralph Lunders (Pat) of Omaha, NE and Don Lunders of Eagan, MN; and her sisters-in-law, Robin Lunders of Mancos, CO and Patti Adams (Pat) of Portland, OR. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials directed to the Cedar Catholic High School Endowment Fund or the Holy Trinity School Endowment Fund.
