He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Mark II and Rose Ann Hish (Miller); his wife LaVerna Hish; his son Steven J. Hish; and his brothers, Donald J, Delbert M and Gerald F. Hish.

He is survived by : his children, Gregory (Anna Hish), Michael Hish of Nashville, IL, Wendy (Glen Bening) and Joseph M. IV (Nancy Hish). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
