LaVerne G. Yost Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of LaVerne G. Yost of Harvard, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Yost and Clara Yost (Hoppens); his sister Mary Jane Yost; and his brother-in-law Charles Smith. He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Reutzel (Kenneth Reutzel) of Harvard, NE and Teresa Nickens (John Nickens) of Greeley, CO; his wife Shirley Yost; his grandchildren, Mirinda, Michael Boyd, Benton, Brandy Reutzel, Whitney and Kayla Reutzel; and his siblings-in-law, Marvin Yost and Ann Smith. He is also survived by Great-Grandchildren: 6 Nephews, Other extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center (1225 N Elm Ave, Hastings, NE 68901). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to the Harvard Fire Department.
