We announce the death of Carol J (Lockard) Kiolbasa of Hastings, Nebraska, who passed away on October 10, 2026, at the age of 92. Carol will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Dewey and Dora Lockard (Coker); and her sisters, Margaret Bader, Georgia Duell and Patricia Miller.
She is survived by: her husband Leonard A. Kiolbasa; and her children, Christine Schwieger (Al), Lee Kiolbasa, Michael Kiolbasa (Debbie), Richard Kiolbasa (Nicolette), Steven Kiolbasa (Ann), Cathy Miller (Doug) and Candace Joliffe (Ed).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Butler Volland Chapel (1225 N Elm Ave, Hastings, NE 68901). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (1225 N Elm Ave, Hastings, NE 68901).
In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations may be made to Catholic Social Services, reflecting Carol's enduring commitment to helping others.
