He is survived by: his children, Chelsey Seamann (Eric) of Nelson, Chadd Welty of Hastings and Casy Welty (Kate) of Kearney, Nebraska; his brother Gary Welty (Connie) of Kearney, Nebraska; his sister-in-law Ruth Welty of Kearney, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Austin Welty, Taylor Welty, Amanda Hendrickson, Mariah Hendrickson, Addelynn Welty and Kamden Welty; and his great grandchild Esli. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Kearney Cemetery.
