He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville W. Joynt and Florence Joynt (Spicknall); his son Douglas; and his brothers, Orville "Dale" (Lucille Joynt) and Ivan (Delores Joynt).

He is survived by: his wife Aryllis "Pinky" Joynt; his children, Deborah (Jon Loreman), York and David (Kathleen Joynt); his grandchildren, Eric Loreman (York), Chad Loreman (York), Christina, William Vrooman (Doniphan), Matthew and Kimberly Joynt; his great grandchildren, Creighton, Kendra Loreman, Payton Loreman, Zayden Loreman, Izaiah Loreman, Azayla Loreman, Xzavier Loreman, Reid Vrooman, Elle Vrooman, Garrett Joynt, Cody Joynt and Johanna Joynt; his great great grandchildren, Dallas Loreman and Brynlee Loreman; and his siblings-in-law, Gale, Paula Beirow and Darwin. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews.
