He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lee and Marjorie Ruth Van Amburg (Goeken); his stepfather Don Bogart; his brother Bob Van Amburg; and his nephew Clint Erickson.
He is survived by: his wife Alvinette Van Amburg; his children, Matthew Van Amburg (Erin) and Vanessa Haberman (Cory); his grandchildren, Ethan, Henry, Finley and Elinor; his siblings, James Van Amburg (Vivian), Sue Erickson (Lee), Sharroll Qunell (Tim) and Shelly Koenig (Tom); and his sister-in-law Gail Van Amburg.
