With sadness, we share the passing of Dell G. Hedges of Hastings, Nebraska. Dell, born on April 16, 1943, passed away on August 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dell Sr. Hedges and Marcella "Marci" Hedges (Clough); his son Eric Hedges; and his father-in-law Vince Ehlers. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Ehlers of Hastings; his children, Brad Hedges (Anita) of Lincoln, BreAnn Eaton of Lincoln, Zachary Portwood (Christina) of Sterling and Holly Randone (Joe) of Hastings; his grandchildren, Nate, Kaleb Hedges, Mila, Addy, Lakyn Randone, Kynli, Khloe and Kolsyn Portwood; his brother Jonathan Hedges (Julie) of Hudson, OH; his mother-in-law Ila Ehlers of Beatrice; and his siblings-in-law, Angela Ehlers Lliteras of Lincoln, Lane Ehlers (Cheryl McKenzie) of Clatonia and Lance Ehlers (Monica) of Holdrege. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A prayer was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM at the Christ Community Church (2727 Lincoln St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the family for future designation.
