He was predeceased by: his wife Georga Ochsner (Harrell); his parents, Fred Ochsner and Blanche Ochsner (Bishop); and his siblings, Vaughn, Daryl and Arliss McDowell.
He is survived by: his sons, Russ Ochsner (Denise) and Randy Ochsner (Julie); his grandchildren, Geoffrey Ochsner (Rebecca), Stephanie Brueningsen (Zach), Gregory Ochsner (Emily), Creighton Ochsner (Rayna), Jacie Milius (Eric) and J. D. Ochsner (Tessa); his sister Betty Bierman; his in-laws, Arlene Ochsner, Art McDowell, Madeleine Rohs and Ann Harrell; and his close friend Pat Fulton. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Livingston-Butler-Volland Funeral Home (1225 N Elm Ave, Hastings, NE 68901). A memorial service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (621 N Lincoln Ave, Hastings, NE 68901).
Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church or Crystal Lake Recreational Area.
