He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Werner and Iona Werner (Warboys); his wife Norma Holeman; his brothers, Ed, David, Billy and Timothy; and his son David.
He is survived by: his sister Linda Fuelling; his sisters-in-law, Sharon Werner and Jan Werner; his children, Paula Payne (Willie), Tim Werner (Sue) and Nate Werner (Liz); his grandchildren, Allyson McCurry (Jordan), Anthony Payne (Dawn), Travis Payne, Marissa and Keira Werner; and his great grandchildren, Caelan, Jordyn, Carmyn, Evelyn Payne, Micah and Ruth McCurry. He is also survived by extended family, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Clay Center Christian Church (31371 Woodland Rd, Clay Center, NE 68933). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be designated later.
