Joann M. Thompson Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joann M. Thompson of Hastings, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 7, 2026 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard O. R. and Theo I Kessler (Edwards); her husband David L. Thompson; her son-in-law Andrew Davidson; her great grandchild Trayton Thompson; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Sundberg and Candy Thompson; her nephew Brett Sundberg; and her in-laws, Ivan and Virginia Thompson.

She is survived by: her children, Shawn Davidson of Hastings, NE, Gregg L. Thompson of Norfolk and Bradley Thompson (Becky) of Sioux City, Iowa; her grandchildren, Megan Deal (Nick) of Geneva, NE and Hunter L. Thompson of Grand Island, NE; her great grandchildren, Nathaniel L. Thompson and Addilyn Deal; her brother Charles Kessler (Vicki) of Spokane, WA; and her brother-in-law Mark Thompson of Sioux Rapids, IA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
