He is survived by: his children, John (Theresa Barta), Emmet (Lisa Barta) and Richard (Christina Barta); his grandchildren, Sarah Barta, Grace Barta, Emma Barta, Melissa, Matthew Taylor, Anna Barta and Kyle Weaver; his great grandchildren, Madison Taylor and Grayson Taylor; and his sister-in-law Mathena Barta.

Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
