With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Larry Schmidt of Hastings, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Larry left this world on May 24, 2025 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Larry leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Schmidt and Viola Schmidt (Christensen); his sister Rose; and his niece Christy. He is survived by: his son Greg Schmidt (Michelle); his granddaughter Morgan Schmidt; his niece Joy Adams (Kenny); and his nephew Gary Gilbert. He is also survived by three great nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Apfel Funeral Home (505 N Bellevue Ave, Hastings, NE 68901).
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
