As we bid Laynee farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Laynee is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Justin McCurdy and Keeley Whitcomb (Lindblad); her stepfather Blake Whitcomb; and her siblings, Issak McCurdy, Addison McCurdy, Auria McCurdy, Glen McCurdy and Asher Whitcomb.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center (1225 N Elm Ave, Hastings, NE 68901). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the French Memorial Chapel - Hastings College (710 Turner Ave, Hastings, NE 68901).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family, contributions via Venmo may be given to Justin @JennSue4, or Adams Central Schools Foundation.
