We announce the death of Loree I. McCord of Hastings, Nebraska, who passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 91. Loree will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Loree will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Loree will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Loree’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles McCord; her daughter Debra Willy; and her great grandchild Alexis Longshore. She is survived by: her daughter Merita Longshore (Darrell); and her grandchildren, Jason Longshore (Kearney), Christopher Longshore (Ashley Longshore) and Mesa (Olivia Anderson).
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at the Rural Lone Star Community Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center (1225 N Elm Ave, Hastings, NE 68901). A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Parkview Cemetery (1246 N Elm Ave, Hastings, NE 68901).
Memorials may be given to Edgewood Memory Care of Hastings.
